Terms and Condition
The sacred agreement between the traveler and the hills of Sikkim.
1. Booking & Finalization
To secure your journey through the Himalayas, we require a 50% advance payment of the total package cost. Your booking is considered confirmed only after receipt of this advance and a formal confirmation from our team.
The remaining 50% must be cleared 7 days prior to the date of arrival or as specified in your booking voucher.
2. Permit & Identity Requirements
Certain areas in Sikkim (such as North Sikkim, Nathula, and Tsomgo Lake) are restricted border zones. Permits are mandatory.
Travelers must provide high-quality scans of their **Voter ID card** or **Passport** and recent passport-size photographs at least 72 hours before the journey. Please note: Aadhar Cards and PAN Cards are often not accepted for inner-line permits in restricted zones.
3. Cancellation & Refunds
We understand that plans change like the mountain weather. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- 30 days or more before arrival: 25% of the total package cost is retained.
- 15-29 days before arrival: 50% of the total package cost is retained.
- 7-14 days before arrival: 75% of the total package cost is retained.
- Less than 7 days before arrival or "No Show": No refund.
Please note that Sikkim Saga will not offer any refunds for the unused portion of the tour if a guest has to cut their trip short due to medical reasons or any other personal reasons.
Refunds for train tickets or flights are subject to the respective carriers' policies and will involve a service fee.
4. Force Majeure (The Mountains' Will)
Sikkim’s terrain is beautiful but unpredictable. Landslides, heavy snowfall, road blockages, and political unrest are rare but possible.
Sikkim Saga is not liable for any delays, itinerary changes, or cancellations caused by factors beyond our control. Any additional costs incurred (hotels, meals, or transport) due to such delays must be borne by the traveler.
5. Health & Safety
Many areas in Sikkim exceed 10,000 feet. We strongly advise travelers to consult a doctor before visiting high-altitude regions.
Travelers are strongly advised to acquire their own comprehensive travel and medical insurance before arriving. This should cover medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and evacuations.
The consumption of alcohol or intoxicants during high-altitude travel is strictly discouraged for safety. Sikkim Saga is not responsible for any health issues, accidents, or injuries sustained during the tour.
